Position Reporting:
This position is part of Sunday Cool – Executive Leadership Team reporting to the President.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm [40 hours/week].
Overtime may be required based on workload and production demands. This position will be likely to have overtime or weekend work during the peak of busy season, running May-July.
Compensation:
The compensation for the Director – Sales and Marketing is an annual salary of $110,000-$125,000 dependent on experience

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to achieve company revenue goals and expand market presence. This individual will oversee the Client Experience Department, ensuring exceptional customer service and utilizing customer touch points to re-engage clients. The Director will also manage the Marketing Manager and work directly with the marketing agency on all marketing-related activities. This role requires a strategic leader to drive marketing initiatives, foster customer relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and extraordinary customer experiences.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve company revenue targets and enhance market presence across multiple channels.
- Oversee and manage the Client Experience Department, handling customer service issues related to orders and utilizing these interactions to re-engage and retain clients, driving both satisfaction and loyalty.
- Direct and implement advertising and promotional activities that align with the company’s overall marketing and revenue goals.
- Identify and develop new market segments that would benefit from the company’s products and services.
- Prepare and execute advertising campaigns based on comprehensive market research and customer insights.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in products, services, and marketing best practices.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Content Departments to develop integrated marketing strategies for both new and existing products.
- Oversee and grow the marketing department, managing the Marketing Manager and fostering a high-performance team.
- Work closely with the marketing agency on all aspects of marketing, including digital marketing, advertising campaigns, content creation, and performance tracking.
- Understand and use key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to assess and optimize campaign results, providing actionable insights to the marketing team.
- Recruit,train, and manage marketing staff, setting clear goals and evaluatingperformance regularly.
- Create andimplement a comprehensive marketing plan to target new customers whilemaximizing revenue from existing clients.
- Monitor markettrends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growthopportunities and adapt marketing strategies accordingly.
- Establish andnurture relationships with key clients, distributors, and businesspartners to strengthen partnerships and drive business growth.
- Develop andexecute promotional campaigns and sales materials in collaboration withthe marketing team that resonate with the target audience.
- Analyze sales data and market metrics, generating insights to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Work with the sales team to forecast revenue, ensuring accurate projections for inventory planning and production.
- Conductregular meetings to review team performance, address challenges, and adjuststrategies for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, design, and art to ensure the timely delivery of campaigns and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market dynamics, and customer demands, ensuring the company remains innovative and competitive.
- Provide regular reports to the Executive Team on marketing performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations for future growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned related to marketing, client experience, and team development.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally with oversight of client experience and cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams, including direct reports and external agencies.
- Expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies across digital, traditional, and experiential channels.
- Ability to analyze complex data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Experience with customer service or client engagement strategies, especially using feedback and service interactions to strengthen brand loyalty.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on revenue growth and brand development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful marketing leadership, preferably in the apparel industry.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proficiency with HubSpot and Salesforce, including experience with CRM systems, marketing automation, lead nurturing, and customer segmentation.
- Strong knowledge of marketing automation tools and platforms, as well as industry best practices in digital marketing.
- Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices, with the ability to expand creatively to meet business goals.
- In-depth understanding of the church industry, market trends, and customer preferences (preferred).
- Familiarity with apparel manufacturing processes, materials, and production timelines (preferred).
- Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and lead cross-functional teams, including the marketing and client experience departments.
- Experience in setting and achieving targets and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions to drive business growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, team members, and upper management.
- Proficiency in market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of competitors.
- Ability to adapt strategies based on changing market conditions and competitive landscapes.
- Utilize data insights to develop strategies for improving marketing processes and outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with marketing, design, production, and sales teams to align strategies with overall company objectives.

During the first 90 days we will be equipping you with the necessary resources and training you specifically for the above position. Sunday Cool has a 90-day probationary period for all new employees, which includes a 30, 60 & 90-day feedback meeting with your direct leadership team to gain helpful insight, glean new perspectives, discuss positive performance, and address any areas needing improvement. Before the conclusion of your probationary period, you will be tested on the Art Department-provided handbook, policies and procedures, as well as products to qualify you. All staff artists are required to pass with a 95% or above to qualify as an employee of Sunday Cool. Sunday Cool, LLC reserves the right to terminate the employment of any employee at any time without notice and without payment in lieu of notice, subject to the laws of the State of Florida.
We pay biweekly (Every other week) on Fridays. Pay is based on eighty standard hours per pay period and Sunday Cool has 26 pay periods/year.
Sunday Cool is a drug-free workplace. The company reserves the right to conduct drug testing on all employees. In the event of a workplace accident the impacted employee will be required to be tested for drugs.
