As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll help us scale beyond our current, $18 million in revenue by launching dynamic campaigns, building a high-performing creative team, and partnering closely with Sales to generate qualified leads, create targeted content, and support strategic growth goals. Job Title: Director of Marketing

Position Reporting

This position is part of Sunday Cool-Executive Team reporting to the President

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm [40 hours/week].  Overtime may be required based on workload and production demands. This position will likely have overtime or weekend work during the peak of our spring conference season, where we attend 3-4 conferences promoting the Sunday Cool brand between January - April.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position is $125,000

After 90 days, this position is eligible for bonuses as follows:

·      Sales Team over-ride - As the team exceeds their goal, a .15% bonus is paid out on gross revenue.

·      Profit sharing - As an executive leader this position is eligible to participate in our leadership profit sharing bonus plan.

Direct Reports

As the Director of Marketing, you will oversee and develop a multi-disciplinary creative and strategic team, including:

  • Marketing Manager – Oversees execution of campaigns, scheduling, paid ads, and KPI tracking.
  • Content Department – Produces original media including Ninjas Are Butterflies, short-form video, podcasts, social media, etc.
  • Brand Manager – Manages visual identity, product branding, merch drops, and consistency across customer touchpoints.
  • Sales Team Leads – We currently have 10+ members of our sales team that report up through our two sales team leads.
  • Close collaboration with the Executive Leadership team, including CEO, President, Vice President - Chief of Staff, Creative Director and Finance Director.

We’re seeking a faith-rooted, creatively driven leader to serve as our Director of Marketing. This individual will lead brand strategy, content innovation, and audience engagement across all platforms—bringing energy, originality, and vision to our growing organization.  In addition, this individual will “own the number” as the senior sales strategist.

Core Responsibilities:

Brand Strategy

  • Own and evolve the overarching brand voice for Sunday Cool, NAB, and all sub-brands
  • Translate company mission and culture into messaging that connects with Gen Z, millennials, and ministry leaders
  • Oversee brand standards, style guides, and visual identity across all touchpoints
  • Align product, design, content, and messaging into one cohesive brand experience

Content & Media

  • Guide the Content Department, including podcast production, social media, YouTube content, and viral video strategy
  • Support and amplify the Ninjas Are Butterflies brand through storytelling, fan engagement, and merchandising opportunities
  • Ideate and approve content concepts that reflect our humor, values, and cultural relevance
  • Monitor performance and adjust content strategies based on data and feedback

Campaigns, Sales Support & Lead Generation

  • Design and lead marketing campaigns for merch launches, new product rollouts, podcast milestones, and seasonal pushes
  • Work hand-in-hand with Sales leadership to ensure campaigns align with pipeline goals and sales targets
  • Leveraging Marketing Automation using Salesforce and Hubspot, to create and implement lead generation strategies, nurture sequences, and sales enablement tools
  • Develop customer segments and marketing funnels to drive inbound leads and client reactivation
  • Track and report on conversion metrics and ROI across channels

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead, coach, and grow the sales and marketing teams through mentoring, 1-on-1s, and collaborative planning, goal setting with accountability
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Creative, Product Development, and Operations to ensure alignment and cohesion
  • Facilitate weekly meetings, quarterly planning sessions, and collaborative brainstorming
  • Establish clear workflows, review processes, and accountability systems

Champion Client Engagement

  • Identifying areas within the company to provide a remarkable apparel buying experience
  • Oversee and lead our CSI (customer service issues) department as we instill confidence in our clients that we will always make it right, as well as working with our quality control team to identify the process breakdowns causing issues.
  • Develop a strong survey follow-up process to better understand areas we must improve
  • Establish a strong social media presence within all FB groups associated with our ministry market
  • Develop and grow engagement with our client ambassador/focus group
  • Build upon our raving fans in developing a robust referral program

Fulfillment oversight

Oversee our Sunday Cool Swag store, from strategy, execution, and product development

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, sales leadership, creative direction, or brand leadership
  • Deep understanding of content strategy, storytelling, and digital audience engagement, and marketing stack strategy and execution
  • Strong leadership experience managing creatives, marketers, and media teams
  • Experience working alongside Sales teams to support campaigns and drive pipeline growth
  • Excellent communicator—can cast vision clearly and build team excitement around it
  • Strategic thinker who can drive both creative energy and measurable results
  • Faith-rooted and aligned with Sunday Cool’s mission and values
  • Experience with YouTube growth, podcasting, or influencer/creator marketing
